Nine years ago I took the first steps on the life I've been living. I experienced a massive collapse of a dream which lead to the discovery that I was what I always swore I wasn't, an artist.

For Open Vortex to be created, it took 9 years of facing the unknown head on by drawing, writing and eventually painting, looking for processes beyond myself, it took my left hand becoming strong enough to share the work with my right, fully using both sides of the brain, the result of countless decisions every day to be more honest, to trust myself more and be ready to continue in this way of constant self improvement forever.

9 years on, 18 months of waking at 5 am, finding a routine to mentally paint 12-14 hrs a day, a small success, leading to a bigger success, showing up at the wrong time and having a  chance conversation which completed a circuit in my mind, 2 months on, 50 close to completion paintings later and finally the work has begun.
